Shoot of the Week: Elena & Thomas’ Wedding Design

This weekend I was invited to shoot the gorgeous and exquisite wedding design for Elena Gonzales and Tom Gorman’s wedding. You may remember Elena as one of 50 lucky brides featured on the 2010 Making Dreams Come True episode of Oprah! A team of amazing vendors and wedding professionals came together to help Elena and Thomas’ wedding dreams really come true and the outcome was  breathtaking. I have a soft spot in my heart for stories like this because of the amazing generosity we were shown for our wedding. When this wedding’s coordinator Heather Meibach of Heather Ever Present extended an invitation for me to help out by photographing the design I was more than happy to jump at the chance to be a part of it.

The wedding, cocktail hour and reception took place at the historical and stunning Chicago Cultural Center. The list of vendors included: Pure Kitchen Catering, Art of Imagination(Event and Floral Design), Brad Macdonald (Live Music), Pen/Carlson Photography & Magnolia Photo Booth.

I loved  all of the botanical accents both real and lit!

Guest tables donned tall curly willow branches…

…and the head table included a grass runner with low, assorted florals featuring calla lillies

…glows with romance as it gets further into the evening

From tiny details to dramatic lighting…

and intricate, contemporary design, this team of vendors put together a gorgeous event!

Congratulations Elena and Tom!

May all of your dreams continue to come true!
