I have known Elizabeth for 5 years!… which I only realized when she mentioned that her son, Owen was 5. That just blew me away! Don’t those moments in life just freak you out a little bit?… when you feel like maybe you’ve known someone for 2-3 years and then you see that their children are somehow growing faster than you possibly could, because surely you couldn’t be aging that quickly right?!?! …and sure enough, 5 full years have actually gone by.
But I love that I have known Elizabeth for that long, we actually met doing a show together: ‘The Two Noble Kinsmen” at Chicago Shakespeare; and if you don’t know Elizabeth, she is one of the most striking, talented, multi-faceted business women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Not only has she been a working and successful actor in all forms of the profession for about 20 years, but she is the co-owner of Chalkboard a fantastic restaurant in Lincoln Square with her husband, the amazing chef, Gil Langlois. I can only imagine how amazingly talented Owen will turn out to be as he grows up!
Here are a few of our final images (Make up by the fantastic Jaqueline Ortega).
Needless to say, I was so happy to be taking pictures of her. It was such a treat to get to do this for her and also to spend some time with a great friend.
